For all you plant lovers out there… yes, you, the ones who spend your weekends lovingly dusting the leaves of your ficuses, rotating your Monstera for even sun exposure, and peering a little too closely at your Jade trees just to make sure that’s not powdery mildew.
I see you. I am you.
This newest artwork is a little love letter to that quiet obsession: a minimalist botanical line drawing of cacti, brought to life with a soft watercolor background and turned into a repeating pattern. It’s simple, serene, and planty in the best possible way.
This piece started as a bit of watercolor paint and a traditional pen drawing: just me, a black liner, and a sketchpad. I focused on clean lines and subtle detail, keeping the forms recognizable and bold without over-complicating. Once the drawing was complete, I scanned it and began building out the pattern digitally. A gentle watercolor wash adds just enough to bring in color and texture without overpowering the delicate lines.

It’s always a challenge to balance minimalism with warmth. I love clean, pared-back designs, but I also want to bring energy and coziness into a space and color, even in small doses, can do that. This print feels like it walks that line: quiet and minimal, but not sterile. Calm, but still full of life. Kind of like a good houseplant.
Whether you’re a serial succulent collector or just love a modern botanical vibe, this print was made with you in mind.
P.S. Prints are now available in the shop.
Stay leafy, friends.
