“Cryptic” I, II, and III, are a blue journey beneath the murky surface of Cedar Lake. Cut through the green milfoil sheen of algae and indulge in the lake bottoms world of life and decay.
My kids have done fishing camp and classes at Cedar Lake Regional Farm in the Three Rivers Park program several times now. The lake is beautiful inspiration, but I am not sure I would eat the fish.
This mixed media trio was created on 11×15 inch cold press watercolor paper with acrylic ink, watercolor paint, acrylic paint, Floetrol, metallic mixative, and graphite. The pop of vermilion red contrasts with the deep turquoise, offering a bright focal point like a fishing lure.
