Your skin is your largest organ. It only makes sense to be informed of what kind of ingredients you are absorbing through it then, yes? My own experimenting with skincare has led me on a quest to find more natural products utilizing plants and minerals instead of unpronounceable chemicals. One point of interest is that Europe has some more strict laws about what ingredients are allowed in food and cosmetics than here in the states. Some of the brands are changing their formulas as they enter the U.S. market but Solyvia is not one of them.
Located in the Corsica region, Solyvia is more than the name of this innovative cosmetic line, it the foundation, philosophy, and homeland to one of the most sustainability minded skin care businesses today. Solyvia utilizes many of the wild growing plants in the region like helichrysum, cistus, wild carrot, myrtle, olive, rosemary, strawberry, plantain Major, St. John’s wort, calendula officinalis, and others to make their products from local vegetation using local knowledge. Everything by Solyvia is harvested and created in their small region making the smallest impact as possible. Their products are paraben and phenoxyethanol free, and not tested on animals. All items in their production line are certified organic and packaged in containers chosen for their small footprint and recycle-ability.

- Santa Giulia : Anti-aging and firming serum with immortelle from Corsica. Apply on wrinkles and fine lines to see visible reduction.
- Girolata : Eye Contour : Anti-Fatigue, Concealer, Anti-Puffiness mix provides draining, decongesting and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Scandola : Anti-Aging, Anti-Wrinkle, Repairing Elixir Oil Treatment with immortelle from Corsica. This mix is applied at night, on a freshly cleaned face as your nightly anti-aging routine. It can used alone or with your other night creams.
Each one comes in a thin glass bottle with a metal roller ball for application. the tingling essential oils and extracts paired with the cooling metal roller ball, make applying the Solyvia products very refreshing. The first thing i noticed with each tube was how cooling it felt when rolling it on my skin. Of course Aloe is the second ingredient after water in both the Santa Giulia and Girolata, so it makes sense.
The oils in the Scandola, are not just anti-aging, they also reduce redness. Since it does not not burn my eczema affected areas like some other products, I am grateful for the lightening effects.
The ingredients are clearly listed on the packaging and it is nice to see a company not trying to pull the wool over your eyes about what is in their product. It isn’t always easy to find a more natural anti-aging product that is also honest.
