Goat Milk Stuff: Goat Milk Soaps & Body Care

goat milk stuff soap and lotion

As an amateur soap maker, I love seeing families making a real business of their soap making endeavors. One ingredient I have not experimented with yet is goat milk, which is a pity since I LOVE goat milk soap! Goat milk based soap is so silky and moisturizing compared to pure vegetable soaps and it makes a great base for wipe solution or foaming soap dispensers. This is why I am so happy to have the chance to try out a few soaps and moisturizers from Goat Milk Stuff. Goat Milk stuff began as a mom looking for a way to care for her children without exposing them to the myriad of chemicals residing in most modern body care products on the shelves in stores today. After one batch of homemade soap, they were hooked! Goat Milk Stuff is based in Indiana and is still crafted by hand using goat milk from their own farm.

I recently tried samples of the Clean Cotton, Cranberry Spice, Oatmeal-Milk-and-Honey, and Lemongrass soaps.

Clean Cotton is a nice, mild scented soap with the smell of freshly laundered cotton. Clean Cotton Ingredients: Raw goat milk; Saponified natural fats, coconut oil, olive oil, soybean oil; Fragrance; Natural color, Titanium Dioxide.

Cranberry Spice is a very hearty smelling soap with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and orange peel. The scent makes me think if Autumn, drying leaves, and pumpkin pie! Ingredients Raw goat milk; Saponified natural fats, coconut oil, olive oil, soybean oil, Fragrance, and Natural color.

The Lemongrass essential oil soap is super delicious smelling and a great wake-me-up soap for early mornings. I love lemongrass in body care products and for cooking. It so versatile and doesn’t have the sweet lemon scent of lemon citrus. Lemongrass ingredients: Raw goat milk, Saponified natural fats, coconut oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, and Essential Oil.

The unscented lip balm glides on nicely and contains NO petroleum products. Lip Balm (unscented) Ingredients Soybean oil; Beeswax; Sunflower oil; Cocoa butter; Shea butter; Vitamin E.

Another great item is the lotion stick!

Lotion Stick Ingredients Soybean oil, Beeswax, Sunflower oil, Cocoa butter, Shea butter, Fragrance, and Vitamin E.

The lotion stick comes in four sizes and a variety of scents or unscented. I tried the Oatmeal, Milk and Honey scent, which is nice and light. You can even get the Bug Out lotion stick with an essential oil blend for keeping insects away! I am completely in love with the lotion stick. I want to get the large one in unscented. This is the best facial moisturizer! I don’t really wash my face since my skin is better without any cleansers at all. I just wet it with water and dab with a towel after my shower. I like to slide the lotion stick along my forehead, crows feet, and cheeks, then I rub it in with my finger tips. This lotion is light and non greasy. The only thing I would change is to make the scents all essential oil based. Also, it lasts a long time, so it really is a good deal for a moisturizer. The large stick is $14.00 and you can also get it is a small stick for $8 or  a 4oz tub for $18.

I really liked the items I tried from Goat Milk Stuff and would recommend them for anyone who likes luxury body care products for a decent price and with better ingredients. The only thing I would change is to request they had a few more essential oil items for natural scents! Goat Milk Stuff products would make great gifts  for any hard-to-buy-for loved ones.

I really, really want to try the laundry detergent!
