In the last couple months, I have become intimately familiar with every park in town. Well, that first month was non-stop blizzards so we spent endless hours in the car during house showings. I load kids in the car, then the potential buyers and agent finally show up an hour after their appointment starts, I wait even longer, wasting an entire tank of gas, then finally go back inside and receive another showing request three minutes later. We literally had hundreds of people walk through our home when you include the open house. It finally resulted in two contracts. One failed, and the other is still live.
The bizarre thing is despite the “sellers market” in our city, we ended up having to sell our house for very cheap. The buyer is going to have a ton of equity right off the bat. The house is nice, it just has a layout that is impossible to alter. anyway, we are done with showings and past inspection. We have one more thing to do to complete the buyer requests after inspection and then it is just appraisal, which will be nothing since it is easily worth $50k more than we sold it for. I am exhausted. However, the work won’t stop there. We need to get through appraisal on the house we are buying, and I need an estimate from the contractor for the alterations to make the house usable. Then moving, intense renovation, have a baby, recover, finish renovating, and maybe around Christmas I can sit down.
But anyway, the parks around here are pretty nice. My only complaint is the lack of port-a-potties.
